Frozen Planet

February 10, 2017

I recently watched Frozen Planet on Netflix.  I'm not trying to tell you guys how to live your life, but if you haven't seen it, you should definitely check out the first episode.  They don't directly mention global warming, but I definitely unplugged my toaster oven when the episode was over!  The first episode is all encompassing, so you don't necessarily need to finish the series.  However, the last episode is about humans in the arctic and tundra, which was also fascinating.

I've recently become more and more active regarding my world.  I care about this earth and what I can do to help it and reduce my waste.  When I first started dating my husband nearly 7 years ago, he was super into recycling, but I was a young, fairly drunk college student.  He was the one who first got me into all this recycling and stuff.  Now, we separate our trash, compost what we can and recycle all the other stuff.  For a while, we were having an issue with wasting food.  Jesse is pretty bad about eating leftovers.  He swears if it sits in the fridge for more than a day, it's gone bad.  But, he's gotten better about eating leftovers and I've gotten better about not over buying things from the store.  Also, I rarely drive.  I almost always walk or skateboard.  It does help that I live downtown.  I know that it can be really difficult to get public transportation or walk everywhere in a smaller town.

It's scary to think that this new government is denying global warming.  I want the generations to come to be able to experience this beautiful earth as I have and I am dedicated to preserving it in any way that I can.  After watching Frozen Planet, I was inspired and created these 2 makeup looks.  If you all are passionate about something, I'd love to hear!  Let me know something awesome you've done lately!!!!
